Terms of Service

1. Service Description

CV Mentor provides CV/resume analysis, feedback, and cover letter generation, produced with the help of AI. The results are suggestions — not professional career advice.

2. Payment

Everything paid for on CV Mentor is paid in Mentor Coins. A new account starts with 100 coins; further coins are bought in packs (100 for $7.90, 250 for $17.90, 600 for $39.90), with payment processed securely via Stripe. A full analysis costs 50 coins, a quick score 2, reading one job posting against your CV 1, a further CV rewrite 15 and an application pack 12. Coins are spent before the work starts and refunded automatically if it fails. Coins have no cash value and are not refundable once spent.

3. Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with your analysis, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase. Refunds are processed via Stripe to your original payment method. See our Refund Policy for details.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload files containing malware or malicious content
• Attempt to abuse, overload, or interfere with the service
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that is not a CV/resume
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the AI prompts

5. For employers

If you post a job on CV Mentor, these terms apply to you as well as the ones above.

• Every posting is read by a person before a jobseeker sees it. We may refuse a posting, and we may take one down later, including after it has been approved.
• A posting must be for a real, open role, and the role must be remote: the board lists remote work only, so say where the work may be done from rather than where an office is.
• A posting must not ask candidates for money of any kind, such as a fee for processing, training, equipment or a visa.
• A posting must not exclude or prefer candidates on the grounds of age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, race or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, pregnancy or any other characteristic protected by law.
• What a posting says about pay must be true. We recommend stating a salary range: the EU Pay Transparency Directive expects employers to give candidates pay information up front, and a posting with a range gets read by the people it fits.
• A posting stays up for 30 days and then ends by itself, unless you renew it from your dashboard. We email you three days before it ends.
• Posting a job is currently free.
• We may verify a company. The verified badge is ours to give and to withdraw; it cannot be requested as a right or bought.

Applications sent to you through CV Mentor are the candidate's personal data. Use them only to assess that application; our Privacy Policy says what the candidate has been told.

6. AI-Generated Content

The analysis, scores, suggestions, and cover letters are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, results may contain errors or suggestions that do not apply to your situation. You are responsible for reviewing and adapting all AI-generated content before use.

7. Intellectual Property

Your CV remains your property. The analysis report and generated cover letter are yours to use freely. We do not claim any rights to your uploaded content or the generated results.

8. Limitation of Liability

CV Mentor is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for employment outcomes, interview results, or any decisions made based on our analysis. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
